I choose Hop on Pop written and illustrated by Dr. Seuss. This book would be good for ages Kindergarten through second grade.

Some higher level reading questions I would ask Kindergarteners are:
Why would Pat not want to sit on the cactus?

Why would Pop not want to be hopped on?

As an activity to follow the reading of this book, I would have the students choose two words that rhymed and have them try to make a sentence with their words.
