What Do Teachers Make?

If my family was to ask me what I would get out of being a teacher, my answer would be similar to the poem by Taylor Mali (click here to read the poem). I can remember from an early age wanting to work at a school because I enjoyed all of my teachers, and I loved being in the classroom. My mom was an art teacher at my elementary school, and I loved helping her after school. I want to be a teacher, so I can make other children's early school experience as amazing as mine was.
